Christmas Shopping
Ugh... I hate Walmart at Christmas time. We went yesterday and it was literally 20 minutes of shopping and an hour and a half navigating our way through the store. Getting behind people who would continually stop to look at something and take up the whole aisle to do it was riding my last nerve. Not to mention, I am extremely claustrophobic. Well, aside from that, I was able to make some progress. I'm almost ready to call this shopping season finished. I'm going to attempt one more go early this morning and try to beat the crowd. I'm hoping to find a couple little surprises for my love. Why are guys so hard to shop for. At Christmas time it must be easier to be a guy. Women are (in my opinion) much easier to impress with gifts. Guys never seem to like what you get them or even know why you picked a certain something. *sigh* There really isn't that much to choose from if you want to really impress them either. Somehow I don't think smelly candles or bubble bath gifts sets will do. I always like to go with something that is sentimental or something that he is really into. The problem with that is, I know what he's into and he probably has a more extensive collection of it than anyone on the planet. I couldn't pick something that is the right thing that he doesn't already have if I tried all year. My next angle... go for something that means something to me and hope he appreciates me wanting to share it with him. It's kind of a risky call and could be totally wrong but it beats the bubble bath gift set the big retailers want me to buy him. xP Stay tuned and I'll tell you what I found and how it worked.

Where has this year gone?
Wow! I just looked and the last time I posted here was May! Where has this year gone? Well, thought it might be time to knock the dust off this old blog. This year has been full of ups and downs. I should have a degree in gaming and simulation programming in three years. That is really exciting. My boyfriend is in the UK so I'm hoping to take that degree and find work there. It will be a huge move but I've always wanted to go. I never really knew until now what all is involved in a move like that. There's so much paperwork and so many things that have to be just so so. But in the end if I manage to get it all done it will be worth it. Maybe then I'll have something to blog about. It's funny to me that I haven't written anything in 6 months and still I am having trouble finding a dozen sentences to say about what I've been up to. Ah, I did discover twitter this year. It has pretty much claimed a large portion of my free time. Maybe that has something to do with why I have nothing exciting to talk about. Haha! I'm considering getting on my bike again a few times before it gets too cold. I used to love to ride and would ride all over town but it's been awhile. Maybe I'll get up from here and go do that now.

Another Rainy Day
Well, hello everyone! It's another rainy day here in North Carolina. It's actually been raining for about a week or so (I've lost count). On another note. While I've been hanging out indoors I've managed to update my space, join twitter and join facebook. I don't know that much about facebook but I have one friend so far. xP Twitter is awesome! I like the way it works. 140 spaces to say whatever to whoever. If anybody wants to check mine out my username is Chellemo. I've found only one thing I don't like about it so far. Now that I have an account, I keep getting followers that are randomly trying to spam up my page selling some kind of crap. I block all users who follow me just to advertise something. Come to think of it, my space is the same way and I'm sure facebook will follow suit. (spammers trying to add themselves to my space as a friend just to advertise some junk that I don't want or definitely don't want to see.) Am I the only real person left on the internet? Is everyone else just a spambot in disguise? I wonder sometimes.

Breathing life into this old blog
Hey all! It's been awhile since I posted. Just thought I would stop in and say hi! It kind of makes me wonder what percent of viewable web pages are out there that are amongst the lost and forgotten. There are so many groups and blogs to join and make your mark. I myself don't have near enough time to keep up with everything I would like to join. Another point I would like to ponder... Is it really necessary for technology to update so rapidly? I am working on a computer build right now. By the time I get the parts out of the box and put together they're going to be outdated. For the time being I have decided to stay with XP for an operating system until I see what Microsoft comes up with next. Vista has been out for awhile now and I see no point in investing in an operating system that I will have to upgrade soon. I believe the fantasy of owning the latest and greatest ANYTHING is just that, a fantasy. You research and plan and buy what you think is the coolest and newest thing. But, before you even get it home. Somewhere, someone is shipping out the next "new and improved model". It makes my head spin. When is good enough good enough? Never, I guess.

Black Friday Is Over
Well, another Black Friday has came and went. The store I work in handled it pretty well this year. There was not to much chaos. It didn't seem that we were as busy and crazy as last year. Probably, this was due to the fact that last year the Wii and PS3 were new to the market. We did have a huge crowd waiting to get inside this morning. Some had been there since noon on Thursday and were sporting tents. If I wouldn't have been working, I don't think I would have even got out of the house today. I'm not one for standing in line. Black Friday marks the beginning of most of the holiday shopping. Now, that it's over it's time to clean up the mess and gear up for the season. xP

Website down time
My website is down this weekend. I can't access the server. I hope the problem gets fixed soon. I just got phpBB 3.0 the rc 7 version and haven't even had a chance to look at it. On another note, I went to orientation yesterday for my job. I really missed working at BB this summer. It's going to be fun to be back. Not too much going on around here these days. I have noticed over the last couple weeks the temperature is starting to get cooler....sigh. Winter is coming. I am proud to report that the new puppies have been placed with good homes. It was sad to see them go, but I am glad to give them to people who can provide love and attention. That's about it for now. Talk to you again soon.

Back to Work for the Holidays
Hey all! I just got word that I am going back to work for Best Buy this holiday season. Yay! I start in about two weeks. I'm really looking forward to working with everyone again and I love the job. The discount rocks too. xP As soon as something full time comes up, I want to put my name in for it. So, it's time to start thinking about Christmas again. Jeez, seems like last week we were getting out the decorations and planning last years Christmas. I don't mind. I love Christmas. We have a lot of indoor and outdoor decorations and it's really fun to get them all out and set them up. I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to be for Halloween. Ha! Ha! I'm not planning on going to a party. Just taking my son out. So, the hag costume that I already have will probably do. That's about it for now. I'll post again soon.
